Here in Massachusetts, any person over the age of 12 riding in a private vehicle must wear a seatbelt, regardless of whether you are a driver or passenger. This law, c. 90, s. 13A, does not apply to persons riding in non-private vehicles, i.e., buses or cabs, nor does it apply in certain other limited circumstances.
